POLYGONUM CUSPIDATUM AND RESVERATROL
Resveratrol came to notoriety in the 90s for being one of the factors involved in the so-called "French paradox": in France it was observed that the local diet rich in fats and red meat did not correspond to a greater incidence of cardiovascular diseases with respect to countries with more healthy eating habits. The responsible of this protective effect was identified in Resveratrol, a component of red wine- consumed as well in interesting amounts.
The richest source in resveratrol is the root of Polygonum cuspidatum, where the phytocomplex naturally presents the bioactive isomer, trans-resveratrol.
From the vascular viewpoint resveratrol inhibits the oxidation of LDL cholesterol and platelet aggregation and at the same time reduces the level of cholesterol and triglycerides. Finally, it induces a vasodilatatory effect of arterial system.
Pharmacokinetic studies mainly in animals showed that resveratrol is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and just as quickly metabolized

VERATER is an Asoltech product based on a dry extract of Poligonum, associated with materials selected for their physical and chemical properties and treated with SOL-MEX technology.
VERATER allows the passage in solution of active components of Poligonum in concentrations otherwise unreachable: approximately 20 times higher than the native extract.
VERATER stability was evaluated in 2 ICH conditions (25° C + 60% RH and 40° C + 75% RH) and under normal storage conditions and resulted perfectly stable for all considered parameters. To date it reached 30 months of retest date from date of manufacture
